Call of Duty 4 is a very popular game. That much, we already knew. But now it’s also one of the very few games to reach the 10 million mark.
The game’s developer, Infinity Ward, told CNET yesterday that the title has indeed reached that most coveted of milestones. The studio didn’t reveal how many copies were sold on each system, but the 360 version is said – no surprise – to have sold the most.
This is certainly very good news for the prospects of Call of Duty 5, despite the fact that it’s being developed by Treyarch – that’s the studio behind the less-than-stellar, but still enjoyable, Call of Duty 3. [wired]
