Criminal minds always think they have it all figured out and that they are invincible! Located in Paris, Albanian human traffickers systematically had all angles covered as they reaped the monetary gains enslaving young tourists to drugs and life on the streets. Little did they know that their dark and destructive practices would be brought to light with one really bad decision…taking Bryan’s (Liam Neeson) daughter!

Bryan is an ex special op government worker that sacrificed his family time for work. After a divorce and losing opportunities of every day contact with his daughter, Bryan strives to gain back the lost years. Living in paranoia and in another mans shadow we see a hurting dad that simply wants to know his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace).

Kim is invited by one of her rich school girl friends to go to Paris and as a minor needs daddy’s approval to leave the country. Bryan refuses with reason and Kim retaliates driven by adolescence to “hate” her father. Well, it softens his heart and he agrees to let her go under very specific guidelines.

No more than just picking up their bags, Kim and her friend Amanda are targeted by a ring of human traffickers strategically gaining information on their whereabouts setting the adrenaline pumping action into motion.

Kim witnesses from an across the way window her best friend Amanda being TAKEN! Kim is on the phone with her Dad and Bryan smoothly coaches her through what’s going to happen and assures her that he will find her!

Bryan is haunted by the reality that he only has a 96 hour window to find his daughter and he responds with intensity! Bryan has lost his daughter and will do anything to get her back!

Going to Paris, Bryan begins putting together the pieces that may or may not lead to his daughter…

What follows is an edge of your seat action film of one Daddy these criminals should have never crossed!

Liam Neeson all hands down brings his best performance ever! TAKEN touches a very real topic of Human Traficking…the subject matter is quite explicit, but handled in a very appropriate manner for mature audiences*See Note*

Driven by revenge and holding no reserves-scenes are loaded with shooting, stabbing, bone breaking, and one scene of torture without being ruined by the gore. Taken is very much in tune with the Bourne series-showing gun shots, but not blood spillage and splatters etc…the movie also shows a few scenes of scantly clad women, but refrains from any nudity.

Liam Neeson vs. Matt Damon (Jason Bourne)…I would say Liam Neeson for sure!
