Jude Law is in negotiations to play Dr. John H Watson in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes. Law seems like an extremely obvious choice. Watson appeared in 52 of the 56 original short stories and all four novels, as a friend, assistant and biographer of the great detective. Robert Downey Jr is already on board to play Sherlock, and Mark Strong is on board to play the villain Blackwood. The film will be based on an upcoming comic book adaptation of the classic tales, and will feature a more active version of the famous detective. [/film]
