New Bond Film Cuts Catch Phrases

Posted by admin On September - 25 - 2008

Sorry, Bond fans – those classic catch phrases you know and love won’t be included in upcoming James Bond flick Quantum of Solace.

Producers said Daniel Craig won’t be uttering the line, “The name is Bond, James Bond” in the new film, due for release in November.

He also won’t be ordering his martinis “shaken, not stirred,” as bosses believed the lines were too old-fashioned for modern Bond film.

Director Marc Foster said: “There was a ‘Bond, James Bond’ in the script. There are several places where we shot it as well, but it never worked as we hoped.

“I just felt we should cut it out and Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson (the film’s producers) agreed, too. It’s nice to be open-minded about the Bond formula.

“You can always go back to them later on.” [stuff]
