wow you should hear yourself are “read yourself” to be correct but god your wrong i really went into this movie hoping for the best and pretty much stopped it half way and fastforwarded to the end to see if they killed the family or not
and about the writing i dont see your point the writing was god awful maybe its better in german lol it was like the movie was just trying to patronize the audience with its stupid quirky bs dialog if was the family they kidnapped id ask them to shoot me and get it over with
I understood what Carl was saying well enough. Overall I really liked this movie but I agree with him that some aspects of it were a little off the mark. The film was particularly good for about the first hour but towards the end I felt it lost the incredible feeling of suspense that it had in the beginning and wasn’t nearly as good. I felt like Michael Pitt’s character talking to the audience was more than a little lame and actually marred those parts of the film. And the “rewind” scene really annoyed me. It lost all believability for me at that point. From then on I was far less interested in how the movie ended. In fact, all I could think about through the rest of the movie was how it might’ve ended without that happening. Overall, though, I’d agree that this movie is much, much better than most horror/suspense movies being put out lately.

Carl: I’m sorry, but I can’t quite understand what you’re saying, is English your second (or third) language?
