Hop was lucky enough to be the first on my list of three movies to watch one sunny Auckland Sunday. And what can I say about Hop? It does contain some disturbingly adorable animal characters, but it also contains some disturbingly two-dimensional human characters as well. Directed by the guy who brought us such classics as Alvin and the Chipmunks and Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, Hop can be succinctly described as Alvin and the Chipmunks meets the Easter Bunny in a cautionary tale that just doesn’t quite know how to end properly.
